Reviewing Item Updates
After receiving the attributes from GDSN Connect, the Client App should compare the values from GDSN Connect to those on the record in the Client App and show the user the values that will be updated. This allows the user to see what changes are being made to 1) gain confidence in the updates from GDSN, and 2) know if the changed information will impact their operations (e.g. new allergen that isn't permitted in the school, different meal credits).
Miscellaneous Recommendations
Allow the user to accept or reject update by individual attributes. However, related attributes should be accepted or rejected as a group (e.g. nutrients with nutrient serving size).
Allow the user to accept all updates on the item with a single click.
For a bulk update that shows multiple items that have updates, allow the user to accept updates for all items (or multiple selected items) without forcing them to review individual attributes.
When a user is first getting started with the sync, they will want to review all updates closely. Once they get comfortable with the process and the quality of data from GDSN, they will want to simply accept all items.
