Manually Search for Match

For an item that was not automatically matched during the Update process, the user can attempt to find a match themselves. This can be initiated from the item detail screen and/or from the multiple item review screen.

The Client App will need to provide a user interface that allows the user to configure the search criteria, view the results, and select the correct item. The following functions can be implemented by providing the Client App Item ID of the item to be matched (which is already in GDSN Connect) along with the search settings.

  • Smart Search: Fast search using the values on the SWP App Record that returns a list of the most likely products based on the Smart Search algorithm.

  • Standard Search: Open search of the GCDB (similar to the Search Hub).

  • Select Match: Finalizes the matched product from the GCDB to the Local Record in GDSN Connect. Once the match has been finalized, the record can then be updated via the sync.
