Vendor Import of GTINs

GDSN Connect contains a highly useful support tool, especially for setting up new customers, called the "Vendor Item Import". This tool allows users to upload common reports that contain GTINs from their vendors (e.g. velocity report) to quickly add items from the GCDB into their local database in GDSN Connect.

When a new user is getting set up, they can upload these reports for any vendor they purchase more than 10 items from that provides them with GTINs (for vendors with fewer than 10 items, it's easier to just search the GCDB directly). The same item purchased from multiple vendors will only be set up once, but it will be added in both vendors. This report also adds vendor information, such as the Vendor Product ID.

These records can be synced into a Client App to create new records or they can be used to update existing items if those items are set up with the Vendor & Vendor Product ID in the Client App.
